Last Heroes is a fantasy 2D role-playing adventure game. The story takes place on the continent of Abakam which has always been ruled by the Lacaster family. On his deathbed, Volter the king, surprised everybody when he named his youngest son, Viktor, as the successor to his throne. Viper should have been the rightful king because he was the eldest and rebels against his family. When Volter was still a king, he crafted 4 very powerful magical relics with the help of a magician, which represented the power of the kingdom. In the end, the relics were considered too powerful to be kept all in the same place, and were scattered in all corners of the kingdom. Viper, the oldest of the brothers, is now in search of the relics because he knows that with their power he has the means to take his revenge on the family he has forsaken. Viktor who is now the king, knows that he must stop him because the relics are so powerful they can destroy the whole kingdom. That is basically the main plot of the story, however, throughout the game you play with many different characters. You will experience a lot of intertwined stories from different parts of the kingdom.
The story is the main attraction of this game, because the combat mechanics are not very interesting and the fighting is quite boring. The combat is turn-based and you don't really have a large number of foes to fight against. A good thing though is that you can actually walk past most of the enemies. They constantly move in the game and if you time it right, you can walk past them, avoiding any conflict. There will be enemies that will block your path, however, they are mostly quest related.
Overall, Last Heroes is a great story and with so many interesting characters it can do the right amount of entertaining even with the mediocre gameplay.
